Ziad has always been inspired by and working with emerging technologies. In 2015, Ziad as the CEO and Founder of Cosmic Forces, developed and released Goosebumps Night of Scares, a Mobile & VR game in partnership with Sony Pictures and Scholastic. With over 6 million downloads, rave media reviews, 130 million views on YouTube and features by Apple, Googleplay, Amazon, Oculus and Samsung, Goosebumps Night of Scares has proven to be a hit with fans. The game was used to promote the GearVR by Oculus and the launch of Samsung’s VR store in China. It will also be a launch title for the upcoming Oculus Go launch, Spring 2018.
Ziad’s team work in computer generated visual effects and animation on blockbuster movies resulted in three Oscar nominations and the Academy Award win for Best Visual Effects on the Golden Compass. At the age of 27, Ziad started his first company in Hollywood. Digital Film Labs disrupted the post-production industry by pioneering the Digital Optical process using Cinesite / Kodak laser scanners and recorders initially developed for VFX. He was also involved in the early movement that pioneered computer generated visual effects on desktop PC’s to replace multi-million dollar SGI super computers.
