Synderela Peng is a motion designer and creative director based in Los Angeles.
Since 2002, she has been designing title sequences for feature films including Tomorrowland, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Watchmen. She has also designed opening sequences for TV series including HBO’s Olive Kitteridge, Key & Peele (Comedy Central), and The Bridge (FX). Her other branding and commercial work includes the Starz network rebrand, GM’s Carbon Stories, Weightwatchers, T-Mobile, launch campaign for Pacific Standard Time (PST), 2013 AIGA Design Conference opening graphics.
She was a designer and art director at yU+co for 14 years before joining FX Networks in 2015 as creative director. At FX she worked on the on-air marketing for American Horror Story, The Strain, Sex Drugs Rock N’ Roll, Man Seeking Woman and Taboo.
She received her BFA in illustration from the Art Center College of Design and an MFA in design from CalArts. She’s been nominated twice for an Emmy in the title design category. Formerly on the board of Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE) and currently on the executive committee of the Emmy’s Title Design Peer Group.
